How it works:
We multiply $/sec × clip length × clips
for each model and rank ascending. The cheapest in your filter gets the lime
BEST badge. All rates pulled live from each provider on 2026-04-25.
Quality varies massively across this list. Veo 3.1, Sora 2 Pro, and Kling 2.5 Turbo cost more for a reason — open-weight models on aggregators are dramatically cheaper but trade off motion fidelity, prompt adherence, and audio sync.
Methodology. Per-second pricing pulled directly from fal.ai, kie.ai, wavespeed.ai, runwayml.com/api, developers.openai.com, and cloud.google.com/vertex-ai on 2026-04-25 across 32 endpoints. Where a provider quotes per-clip (Pika 2.2 at $0.20 per 5-second 720p video, for example), we converted to $/sec by dividing by the minimum billable duration and noted the floor in the caveat. We use the latest version of each model — Veo 3.1 (Google), Sora 2 Pro (OpenAI), Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro (Kuaishou), Hailuo 02 Pro (MiniMax), Seedance 1.5 Pro (ByteDance), Hunyuan Video 1.5 (Tencent), Wan 2.5 (Alibaba), Runway Gen-4 family, LTX-2 (Lightricks), Luma Ray 2, and Pika 2.2. kie.ai is included as a price-only reseller — same models from OpenAI, Google, and Kuaishou at 25–85% off the direct API; we surface their tier alongside the original host so you can compare platform vs. price. Older versions still on the API are listed where they remain a cheaper tier. Quality between models differs hugely — cheapest is not best; this tool surfaces the dollar number, not the cinematography. Always confirm at the source before committing to a workload.
