Quality toggle swaps DALL-E standard ↔ HD, and Replicate Flux Schnell ↔ Flux 1.1 Pro. Midjourney, Ideogram, and Leonardo are subscription-based — quality is bundled, so we pick the smallest plan whose monthly allotment covers your volume.

Subscriptions step up: Midjourney Basic → Standard → Pro → Mega. Ideogram Basic → Plus → Pro. Leonardo Apprentice → Artisan → Maestro. APIs (DALL-E, Replicate Flux/SDXL) scale linearly.

Methodology. Pricing verified 2026-04-25 from each provider's pricing page. Subscription tools (Midjourney, Ideogram, Leonardo) use a tier-stepping rule: we pick the smallest plan whose monthly image cap covers your slider volume; if your volume exceeds the top tier, we mark it as such. API tools (DALL-E 3, Replicate Flux/SDXL) multiply the per-image rate by your volume — no minimums, no commitments. Midjourney image counts are approximate (Fast-mode GPU minutes vary by job complexity); we use the platform's published averages: Basic ~200 fast / Standard ~900 fast plus unlimited Relax / Pro ~1,800 / Mega ~3,600. Leonardo tokens convert at ~13 tokens per image — reasonable for a default SDXL-class generation, lower for Phoenix or upscaled outputs. Always verify with the vendor before you commit to a plan.
